Who We Are
The purpose of this ministry is to allow God’s light to shine through us and use us the way He intended. God allows us to be a light in someone’s darkness by allowing His Holy Spirit to shine through us. This ministry will be open to any and all ages, from kids, teens, to Adults. As Isaiah 43:2 says “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you….”. God further tells us in Matthew 11:28 “Come to me all who are weary and burned and I will give you rest take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”. This ministry will allow those who are weary and heavy laden to come to God through us.
Mission
The mission of this ministry will shadow the mission of our Church. Loving those who may feel lonely or isolated. Not believing that they do matter, and they do have a purpose. Leading those to Christ and showing them that through God they will get through their season. Ultimately watching God change their lives by pulling them from the darkness through God’s light that shines through us.
Vision
The vision of this ministry is to serve as a triage to those who need help and guide them in the right direction. We will also give resources as we see fit. For example, if we see that they need an ear to listen to, we will be that person. If we see that they need spiritual counseling, we will get with the Lead Pastor’s secretary to schedule counseling appointments with our Lead Pastor. If we see that they need any professional help we will provide further helpline resources or contact our Lead Pastor with urgency to receive advice on how to proceed with that specific situation. Furthermore, we intend to create social media content such as devotionals regarding the Biblical aspect of Mental Health awareness and guiding those who need help to us. As well as serve as a partnership with Brown Santa for the Sheriff’s Office or inevitably create our own program here at ChristLife (i.e. Hands of Hope) and allow those to apply to receive food/toys or other necessities throughout the year.
